I love this noble piece, but I'm not sure to whether it is entirely serious.
Full Title Wedding March from “The Birds” by Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry (1848 - 1918)
Notes The Birds is an ancient Greek comedy by Aristophanes, which was revived in Victorian times. The Wedding March by English composer C. H. H. Parry (composer of Jerusalem), although very grand and noble, has an air of caricature about it if played that way – just enough to gently send up the pomposity of the play’s bridal procession.
